Warmth, Comfort, and Security for Your Dog
A good dog blanket is more than just a piece of fabric to lie on. It's the spot where your dog snuggles in, settles down, and feels completely at ease — whether at home on the sofa, on the road in the car, or visiting friends. A high-quality dog blanket can noticeably boost your dog's well-being: it retains body heat, protects against cold and moisture from the floor, and becomes a reliable, familiar retreat for many dogs.
Whether as a basic layer in the basket, as a complement to the Belle dog bed or as a practical travel companion in the car — a dog blanket is one of the most versatile products you can offer your dog at home and on the go. Especially for dogs that spend a lot of time indoors or follow their family everywhere, their own blanket quickly becomes the most important piece of furniture in the whole house.
What Makes Our Dog Blanket Special
At MOUNTAINDOG, your dog comes first. That's why our Emma dog blanket is designed to handle several jobs at once: the padded volume fleece reliably keeps cold away from the floor while retaining your dog's body heat — a real comfort boost, especially in winter, when cold tiles or laminate floors would otherwise quickly become a problem. This makes a noticeable difference especially for sensitive or older dogs, since they're no longer lying directly on a cold or hard floor.
If your dog has sensitive skin, it's generally worth looking at hypoallergenic materials that prevent irritation while staying soft and cozy. And because an easy-to-wash blanket protects both your furniture and your dog's health, easy care isn't an afterthought for us — it's a core criterion we've factored in from the very start. The result is a blanket that holds up just as well in everyday life as it impresses the moment you unpack it.
Handmade in Europe, From Sustainable Materials
Every Emma dog blanket is handmade in Europe, from sustainable materials and with great attention to detail. Rather than fast, short-lived mass production, we deliberately focus on durability: the OEKO-TEX certified premium fleece is tested for harmful substances and designed to keep its shape, color, and soft feel even after many washes. That way, your dog doesn't just get any blanket, but a piece of equipment that lasts for years while being produced in a resource-conscious way.
This care shows in the details too, from the even workmanship to the careful selection of every color in the collection. A dog blanket that lives up to this standard quickly becomes a fixed part of everyday life, at home and on the go, and a home accessory you're happy to show off for both your dog and your interior.
Which Size Is Right for Your Dog?
Our Emma dog blanket is deliberately cut generously in a universal size, making it equally suitable for small dogs like Chihuahuas or Dachshunds and large dogs like Labradors or Golden Retrievers. That way, you skip the size decision entirely, while your furry friend still gets plenty of room to feel comfortable — whether in the basket, on the sofa, or in the dog bed. The best approach is to observe how your dog likes to lie down: if they like to curl up, a smaller area is often enough; if they prefer to stretch out fully, the blanket should be generously cut, as is the case with Emma.
A Reliable Companion, Even on the Go
A high-quality blanket also boosts your dog's well-being and sense of security while traveling. For life on the go, lightweight, space-saving travel blankets made from polyester or microfiber fabric are especially practical — they fold easily and pack away quickly. Our Emma dog blanket already brings these advantages with it: as a versatile furniture and car protector, it accompanies your dog in style on the back seat, in the trunk, while visiting a restaurant, or simply on the sofa at home, without losing any of its premium feel.
That way, your dog always has a piece of familiar comfort with them, wherever you go — whether it's a day trip to the countryside, visiting friends, or your next weekend getaway. Dogs that get unsettled easily in particular benefit from having their own blanket on hand; a familiar scent and structure help them relax more quickly even in unfamiliar places.
Easy to Care for, Even with an Active Dog
To keep your dog's sleeping spot looking great and hygienic over the long term, our Emma dog blanket is deliberately designed to be easy to care for. It can be gently machine-washed at 30 °C, for lasting hygiene with hardly any effort. As a rule of thumb, we recommend washing the blanket roughly every two weeks — this helps prevent the build-up of bacteria and preserves its premium look and feel through many washes.
Small stains can easily be removed in between washes with a damp cloth, without having to wash the entire blanket. Since the material is dirt- and water-repellent, it also attracts less hair and is especially easy to clean. This way, an easy-to-wash blanket not only protects your sofa or couch from fur and dirt, but also supports your dog's health and preserves the blanket's premium character — something families with children or frequent visitors especially appreciate.
Cuddle Blankets for Every Living Style, With an Elegant Look
Our Emma dog blanket deliberately takes a different approach: a consistently high-quality premium fleece that, as a classic cuddle blanket, adds extra lying comfort to the dog basket or dog bed, with no reversible design needed.
When it comes to design, we focus on a calm, timeless color palette: dark grey, dark brown, beige, moss green, burgundy, and natural blend harmoniously into any living space, whether next to the dog bed, on the sofa, or as a standalone element of your interior. This understated look works independently of your individual decorating style, making it feel less like dog accessories and more like a deliberately chosen home accent.
Discover Our Dog Beds for Restful Sleep, Too
Your dog finds the most restful sleep in a spot that's entirely their own. With its memory foam flake filling, our Belle dog bed offers a supportive, joint-friendly sleeping surface that molds to your dog's body shape and noticeably relieves pressure points. The soft, abrasion-resistant cover reliably holds up to everyday dog life, while the non-slip base keeps the bed securely in place even on smooth floors.
Handmade in Europe and kept in calm, timeless tones, the dog bed fits into your home just as harmoniously as our Emma dog blanket. As a cozy addition, the blanket adds extra warmth on top of the bed, and if you'd like to combine both, our matching Dream Duo offers the perfect retreat that brings comfort and design together.
