OUR STORY

We are Josephin and Verona – founders, animal lovers and lovers of good design with a clear mission: luxurious, sustainable dog accessories that bring together design, quality and responsibility.

OUR LOVE OF ANIMALS

I am Verona and I live in Munich with my two dogs, Belle and Emma. It was Belle who gave MOUNTAINDOG its name, because she loves the Bavarian and Austrian mountains. My dogs have been at my side for many years. That is how I know how much comfort, quality and considered design matter in everyday life. Those insights shape our entire range.

Besides my love of animals, my heart beats for high-quality furnishing and interior design. I love rooms with atmosphere – and I wanted dog beds and accessories to suit a stylish home too. With MOUNTAINDOG we have brought both together: function and aesthetics for people and animals.

SUSTAINABILITY STARTS WITH THE MATERIAL

I am Josephin and I bring many years of experience from the sustainable fashion world. For years I have been running a successful brand for high-quality muslin textiles made from organic cotton. I know the production chains, I understand the challenges of sustainable manufacturing – and I know what matters with high-quality materials.

That expertise was a central part of our product development from the start. We wanted our dog beds, blankets and toys to be not only beautiful, but also fair, environmentally friendly and durable. Because real sustainability starts at the source – and does not end at the label.

OUR VISION

The idea for MOUNTAINDOG came about back in 2023. After that we spent more than two years researching, testing, having things sewn, discarding them and rethinking them. We looked for partners who share our values. For materials that look good, feel good – and are good for the environment.

In June 2025 the time had come: MOUNTAINDOG went live. With a first collection that stands for everything that matters to us: luxurious dog beds, stylish accessories, fair production and timeless design.
